They started sending this presentation around in my department last week. I am not sure that we knew where it came from. I did the minimal leg work, and I got back to The Fischbowl.

The pineal gland is occasionally associated with the sixth chakra, Ajna or the third eye chakra in yoga and certain eastern and western spiritual traditions. It is a metaphysical and esoteric concept. In New Age spirituality, the third eye may alternately symbolize a state of enlightenment or the evocation of mental images having deeply-personal spiritual or psychological significance.
